FRIDAY NIGHT MUSIC @TheFIG
In early 2017 The Fig Licensed Cafe started showcasing local personalities and new talent over the Friday night dinner session.
We have discovered and nurtured new talent, uncovered an entertainment industry icon and given a platform to the best local talent Paynesville, Raymond Island, Bairnsdale, Metung and Lakes Entrance has to offer.
Local homegrown talent with an eclectic range of personal lyrics and covers. Martin has matured slightly from his bucket and spade and will exchange them for his guitar and microphone. Martin’s musical career started at the Girl Guide dance at the Paynesville Mechanics Hall in 1975 and will probably end at the Fig, just around the corner! Come along for an enjoyable interactive evening.

Influenced by John Butler, 18 year old Matthew Bentley from Bairnsdale is in love with his Maton 12-string and the earthy sounds he can produce with it. Butler's 'Ocean' was Matthew's springboard to discovering his own creative talent, which continues to develop. In early 2017, Matthew was 'Unearthed by Triple J'.

Moving to Paynesville in early 2017, Laura Keane is Paynesville's newest talent and debuted exclusively at The Fig.
Music and singing have been a part of Laura’s life since early childhood and on her Friday nights she will be sharing her love of singing with diners at The Fig Café.
Laura sings a broad range of styles with hits from various decades including ‘At Last’, ‘Songbird’, ‘Walk on By’, ‘Fix You’ and Adele’s ‘One and Only’ accompanied by guitar and keyboard.
Jo Muller has been part of the Paynesville music scene for 6 years performing with the Paynesville Music Festival, 'The In Laws', solo gigs and more recently 'Soundwave'.
Jo is delighted to be singing at The Fig and provides a style of music that mixes well with great food, great wine and great company, singing songs with a style of Blues, Ballads and simplicity.
Roderick W Teal
Harmonica player, singer, songwriter, filmmaker Roderick W Teal brings his own piece of magic to The Fig.
Roderick has toured and performed around the Globe over the years and plays a mixture of mainly his own compositions, including many styles - roots, blues, latin and ballads to name but a few.
So come along and join the fun...
Here's a sneak preview of Roderick on YouTube.
Warwick's overnight success music career started 40 years ago with regular performances at "The Penthouse Club" as he fast became one of Melbourne's most popular cabaret acts.
